First thing that pops up to my mind during summer are the beaches in Laiya, Batangas since I'm always on a tight budget. Anyway, my joy comes from the simplest things. I didn't expect there's another goody goody place just about 2 to 3 hours drive from the Metro -La Virginia Resort and Hotel, I've been eyeing for this 2 years back until this Holy Week. The place is not for beach buddies but if you enjoy scenic views, mother earth, and infinity pool I guess this is the right place. I tagged along my brother so I can afford to stay for days, that's the trick.
If you are commuting, ride a bus going to Lipa City(from Cubao/Taft BusTerminal) and tell the driver to drop you off Robinson's Lipa, from there hop on a jeep heading to Mataas na Kahoy, when you reach Longos, ride a tricy going to La Virginia. I guess back and forth fare would only cost you approximately 500 pesos, not bad at all.
La Virginia Resort and Hotel is an 8 hectare place then, now it's more than 15 hectares and still expanding. I think they are currently working on adding pools, just a guess.

When we arrived at La Virginia Resort and Hotel, I was a bit skeptical of getting an accommodation because long holiday means people everywhere. Luckily we got a hotel room. It was great that I didn't have any issues with the staff, they were all nice and prompt. Normally Check in time is 2pm and Check out is 12 noon of the following day, we requested for early check in as we arrived 4 hours earlier but was not granted but it was totally understandable. During regular days they may allow early check-in. As for the Entrance fee, 300 pesos for adults and 200 for children.

Hotel Room 101 is the only available room that time. I am thinking of actually renting a house type accommodation but to no avail but hey our room is just perfect. We have our own sala, frig,cabinets and comfort room. Just one wish, I hope the comfy always smell clean.

Since we didn't bring any food, we opted to eat at La Virginia Diners aka resto, It's not a fast food though. You have to give them 30 minutes at least before food is served. I noticed their menu are mostly staple, we actually ordered Pancit Bihon, Beef Caldereta, Fried/Barbecue Chicken,Lehon Kawali and Fruit Salad for dessert.
For Snacks, they have a mini store. Since they have Cheetos it's just perfect for me, I give them 5/5 rating lol
If you didn't bring any swimming clothes, they have it there from swimwears to tong slippers.
The best spot for me is the tree house where I can view the tranquility of Taal Lake more than I like the idea of the Buddha view deck.

Pretty sure I'll come back because I left my heart at La Virginia Resort and Hotel. It's really good to know that there are places like this near Manila where pleasure is not so pricey.

Hi my bad for keeping you wait...No need for prior reservation. Anyway, I think day tour starts at 7am(or 9am?) and ends at 5pm if I'm not mistaken...enjoy!
