I used to have a clear skin until I got rashes of no known cause, more like a lupus "butterfly rash"(mmm I don't want to think that way). Just to give you a little background, I have CIU and the cause is still unknown, I mean it's not yet ruled out although it's already manageable. You can backread and check my post about Cure for Chronic Idiopathic Urticaria.
Fast forward, Itchy rashes appeared on my cheeks and chin which terribly affected my confidence. Just imagine I never had acne issues my whole life. I searched the net and even asked friends about the cure for this gross misfortune. I tried a couple of suggestions, tried so many products, went to a dermatologist etc.
I used to tell my readers that "Safeguard" is the simplest cure for pimples but not this time (and by the way I don't think that it has the same efficacy as compared to before). I suspect mine is more of a hormonal imbalance or irritation caused by itchy rashes.
Until, I found a really helpful post over the internet...That girl is an angel. Who would think Honey could actually pacify acne, It's no quick fix but sure thing it'll clear your skin. I have been using honey for almost a week now and it has already done wonders, I used to have bumps for months that just won't go away but now it's already flat.
I have read rants about honey as well as lots of negative feedback. From what I see, I think the effect of honey differs from one person to another. Reason could be because honey has so many variations. You should pick the 100% raw and pure honey, I am using Aunt Sue's Raw Honey by the way. Just be picky as I've said there are a lot of honey bottles out there that are misleading, claiming to be 100 % pure (yeah pure sugar).
I apply a teaspoon of honey directly to my not-so-wet-face, leave it for an hour or more. Yes, It's sticky but you don't have to worry, you can still do your chores. I'm applying honey twice a day -morning and night. During the day, I use it just like a regular face wash and during the night I use it as a mask. And please be careful not to touch your eyes.
So far bumps flattened, skin texture smoothened, skin feels so clean, moisturized and a bit glowing immediately after washing it off with water. Not bad right? I hope you find this post helpful for your acne problem.
I hate to post my before and after photos, It's just gross ;) maybe in the future but not now |
This honey is not pricey at all, It'll cost you only about 300 pesos (7.30 USD). Give it a try, if it does not work for your pimples/acne then just make a really good honey lemon juice. Anyways I'll update you whether it's good for long term use or not. In case you have a different approach, please do share. Much ♥
